Description

Designed initially as a personal escape device for firefighters in emergency bailout situations, this ultra-lightweight and compact descender has become the preferred choice of countless SAR teams, Ski Patrol units, law enforcement, and military personnel worldwide. Its compact design and low weight make it easy to pack into a turnout coat or bailout kit. It’s also gaining popularity among canyoneers, thanks to its optimization for smaller diameter ropes that have become widely used in the sport.

Through extensive computer analysis and rigorous field testing, this descender has been engineered to excel with both single and double ropes up to 7.5 mm in diameter while remaining compatible with single ropes up to 9.5 mm. A single or double wrap provides the ideal level of friction for a fast but controlled descent. The built-in ears are designed to prevent accidental girth hitching, ensuring added safety. Precision CNC-machined from 3/8” thick aircraft-grade aluminum, it’s available in gold or black for tactical applications.
